New Year Resolutions

Happy new year, everyone👋

I’m sure everyone is in the habit of making plans for the new year, but as I make them, I sometimes wonder if I can actually accomplish them.

Even when I make my own plans for the week, I may not be able to complete them due to various factors. For example, I have to stay away from sugary drinks for a week, but as it happens, I have to go to a party at the weekend and I will break my fast.

So I think shortening the time span and progressive implementation of each stage in my New Year’s resolution will help me to achieve my goals.

As I actually make and execute my New Year’s resolutions, I have given myself a challenge for the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, when the timespan from 2022/12/31 to 2023/1/2, here is my plan

1. Quit Social Media (most of them)

It should be quite a challenge for me, especially during the new year when a lot of friends and family members will be sharing their lives during this period. But that’s not what I wanted to set out to do in this challenge.

I mainly want to live more authentically through this and not pay attention to the less important things, so I keep some messaging software such as: Line.

2. Healthier Lifestyle

I’ve been staying up late for the end of the semester and for my master’s class report, also drinking sugary drinks, increasing the time I stay in my seat. So for the next 3 days, I have to take a break from these bad habits and give myself a break.

It also paves the way for a less sugary diet in the future, as I mentioned earlier about shortening the time span and developing and implementing tasks in stages.

3. Reading

The additional time I spent preparing for my future report and writing about the books I read, I think that doing these things in the early stages helped me to have more space to use in the days leading up to the deadline.

In the past few months, I have often finished what I expected to do before the deadline, resulting in what I consider to be poor results, even when I have gone in and finished, but still just before the deadline.

4. Spending time with people

It’s a great way to spend time with family or friends during holidays.

5. Doing what you love

Why not spend this time working on your own interests ?

For me, I’ll take it to finish my unfinished paintings from the summer holidays, or to go for a run by the gym.

I believe that through these activities, we will be able to have fun during the holiday season and be motivated to take on challenges in the future.

Having developed and implemented the above short-term plan, I believe it will help me to develop my annual plan in the future.

So I think it is a good idea to set a direction for the New Year after this challenge rather than To-Do list.

I hope the above experience can help you all and Happy New Year!
